Beloved husband of 66 years to Barbara (nee Hodgman).
Devoted father of Thomas (Wendy) Knight, Jim (Lisa) Knight, Maureen (Robert) Glynn, and the late baby Andrew Knight.
Proud grandfather of Bobby, Jack, Leo, Sean, Christine, Matthew, Anne, Andrew, Olivia, and Dani.
Loving brother of Ruth Kennelly, and the late Florence Puetz, and the late John Richard Knight.
Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews and loving friend of many.
Thomas cared for his loving wife Barbara for many years as she battled dementia. He was always by her side, never faltering in his devotion to keep her comforted and safe. The two remained at home, together until his death.
Thomas was proud of his service in the US Army. He served in the 11th Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He received a Victory Medal for his time in Japan.
Tom taught himself to sail at the age of thirty. He loved being on the water and he spent twenty years sailing Lake Michigan aboard his sailboat with his family at his side. He was most at peace when sailing.
Thomas and Barbara spent most of their retired years at their conservation tree farm in northern Minnesota. They were active and passionate about wildlife conservation.
Services and interment private.
