Ehret, Richard T. “Dick”

Richard “Dick” was born on December 17, 1929 to Leonard and Roberta Ehret in Elkhart, IN. After graduating from Elkhart High School, he went on to graduate with honors from Indiana University Business School.

Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. After working for the Midwest Stock Exchange, he retired from the U.S. Treasury Department. Dick was an excellent bridge player and enjoyed playing locally in various Orland Park bridge groups. He was a long-time member of the Faith United Methodist Church. He loved all kinds of music, telling and sharing jokes, model trains, history, and time with family and friends.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Della Ehret, 5 daughters, Sue Collins, Debra (Gordon) Jackson, Karen (James) Duncan, Barbara Brousseau and Laura (Marc) Cripe, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation Saturday 1 p.m. until time of Service 3:30 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL.

Family and friends to gather Monday, June 28, 2021, 1:00 p.m. EST for Committal at Olive Cemetery, 61081 Co. Road 3, Elkhart, IN 46517.
