DIED JANUARY 28, 2003 AFTER WITHSTANDING A HEART TRANSPLANT IN 1992, KIDNEY TRANSPLANT (DONATED BY SON DENNIS) IN AUG., 2002 AND HIS COURAGEOUS BATTLE WITH CANCER. FONDLY REFERRED TO AS “MIRACLE MAN” BY ALL WHO KNEW AND LOVED HIM.
BELOVED HUSBAND OF 36 YEARS AND BEST FRIEND TO MAUREEN A. nee WHITE DALTON.
DEVOTED FATHER OF TRACEY (JAMES) DALTON LEPORE OF NEW HARTFORD, CT., TIMOTHY PATRICK (LISA) DALTON OF NAPERVILLE, IL AND DENNIS GERALD DALTON OF AURORA, IL.

FORMER BODYGUARD TO MAYOR RICHARD J. DALEY AND JIM ENDED HIS CAREER AS SECURITY SPECIALIST FOR THE CITY OF CHICAGO.
