Obituary for Henry H. Flock

Henry Flock, of Orland Park, previously of Olympia Fields, IL, passed away on April 1, 2017, at the age of 82. He was born January 2, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois.

Beloved husband of 55 years to Rosemarie (nee Simich).
Loving father of Maryann (Patrick) Kelly Flock, Annmarie (Harry) Buoscio, Karin (Shawn) Fojtik, Mark (Kim) Flock, John Flock, and James Flock.
Adored grandfather of Emma, Jordan, Jake, Grace, Anthony, Melanie, Racheal, Isabella, Anna, Lillie, Elle, Clark, Jack, Maria, Quinn, Owen and Abigail.
Dear brother of Mary Ann (the late Robert) Millis.
Fond uncle to his sister’s children Mark (Diane), Teresa, Lee (Candy), Kevin (Lorena), Karl, Glen Millis, and his Simich nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Herman and Anna (Stumpf) Flock.

He was a proud Army veteran, and worked for many years for Tuthill Pump, in Alsip, Illinois serving in roles from an engineer to its president. He enjoyed classical music, a good golf game with friends, singing and spending time with his many grandchildren.

He leaves behind many dear friends and neighbors. As a Chicago native, Henry attended St. Rita’s high school. He was a proud alumnus of University of Illinois, and the University of Rochester. He happily watched his beloved Cubs win the World Series this past Fall. Henry will be remembered fondly by many for his deep religious faith, his winning smile, his intelligence, and his quick wit. The epitome of a family man, Henry will be greatly missed by his wife, sister, daughters, sons and grandchildren.

Visitation Thursday 3-9 p.m.

Funeral Friday 9:15 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL to St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mass 10:00 a.m.

Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials made to Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org, or Hines VA Hospital at https://www.hines.va.gov/giving/, would be appreciated.

The family would like to expresses its profound thanks to those who supported him during his illness including, Henry’s friends and neighbors, with a special thanks to his wonderful neighbors in Orland Park, the caretakers and medical staff from the Veterans association, and the Orland Police Department.
