Obituary for Eugenie H. Lenc

Lenc, Eugenie H. (nee Chess)

Eugenie Lenc was born February 20, 1917 in Chicago, IL.
She was the middle child of three; she succeeds her older sister, the dearly departed Alice Jeros, while she is survived by her younger sister Pat Klecan.

She married her late husband Benedict in 1950. They raised their daughter Mary, who later married Mark Thompson. They expanded their family by adding two grandchildren Stephen and Sarah (Russell) Fratto.

Eugenie loved being a wife to Benedict for 49 ½ years. She truly enjoyed being a mom and a grandmother. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and loved spending time with both of them. She loved family and enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews and their children.

She was a proud employee of 10 years at General Mills as Secretary to the Plant Manager.

For the past several years, she has lived at home with the help of numerous full time caregivers. Her weekday caregiver Theresa, and weekend caregivers Marta and Monika, have been her constant companions in her journey to celebrate her 100th birthday and were there when the journey ended.
