There are condolences waiting approval on DOROTHY's Tribute wall

Dorothy Mattei nee Byrnes Age 88.

Formerly of Palos Park, IL. Quietly passed away on December 7th after a battle with Alzheimer's disease at Manor Care Nursing Home in Palos Heights.
Fond sister of the late Rita Ready, Rosemary Cooper & Dolores Swibes.
Loving wife of Paul (deceased '94).
Mrs. Mattei is survived by her son Paul and very loving daughter Sheila (David) Wyma, beloved grandchildren Janet Mattei-Couture (John) and PJ Mattei; blessed with three great-grandchildren Dylan, Mackenzie & Jayden as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

The late Mrs. Mattei will be remembered for being a master seamstress and for her craft abilities. She had the flair for creating something from nothing "in a Jif". Many were able to find a Halloween costume in her basement named "Dot's Prop Shop”. Or you need something, go to Aunt Dorothy she has is all!!
She was a member of numerous area clubs and fundraising groups; "Caritas" formerly Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy School, volunteer buyer for Palos Community Hospital & DePaul University Booster to name a few.
Finally all the Byrnes girls are together again. We here on Earth miss and love you very much. We know that you are at peace with Jesus.
Memorial Mass will be announced.

Donations to De Paul University Athletics or the Alzheimer's Association in Dorothy's name would be appreciated.
