Schultz, Charlene M.

Charlene Mary Schultz, (nee Chochola) passed away at the age of 71 peacefully at her home in Palm Coast, Florida, on the morning of December 24th, 2018. Char died nine days after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. During those days she continued to inspire everyone with her grace, joy, and love.Char was born in Chicago on June 15, 1947 to Charles and Mary Chochola (nee Giarraputo). She married the love of her life, Dennis F. Schultz on July 27, 1968. Den and Char just celebrated their 50th Anniversary on a cruise this summer with their family. Char will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dennis, and her children Dennise (Ed Vaughn), Dennis, and Dawn (George Harris). She will also be fondly remembered as “Nana” by her 12 grandchildren EJ, Abby, Matt, Zach, Annabelle, Georgia, Graham, JP, Charlie, Wesley, Cora Pearl, and Kyla. She will be dearly missed by the members of the Church where she faithfully served The Lord as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Michael’s in Orland Park and St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton in Palm Coast. Her faith never wavered, even in the darkness, assuring her of a great reward. Char was a community leader and local business owner. Den and Char operated Minuteman Press in Orland Park for 25 years. She served as President of the Homer Chamber of Commerce, President of the International Order of Foresters, Lyons Club Board Member, and many other community service activities.
Char loved to cook and was known for her homemade ravioli and desserts. She enjoyed entertaining, and always had the best parties. Den and Char enjoyed many cruises together and had a wonderful life together. Char has passed her love of cooking, entertaining, and traveling to her children and grandchildren, and they will carry on her legacy.

Funeral Monday 9:15 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL to St. Michael Church, Mass 10:00 a.m.
