Kukulas, Arthur (Art)
Arthur Kukulas passed away suddenly on July 23rd, 2013 at the age of 79. He was a resident of Orland Park, Illinois. Art was born on June 15, 1934 in Greece and lived in the United States having emigrated in 1956. He is survived by his wife Elsa of 51 years and his children Stacey Christos, Maria (Dean) Dussias and Paul Kukulas. Loving grandfather (Pappou) of Connie, Alyssa, Stephanie, Sammy and Arthur. Dear brother of Panagiota and the late Gus. Fond uncle of many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. During his lifetime Art was a prolific chef having opened and operated successful restaurants in Chicago and suburbs including Terry’s Restaurant in Summit, Greenwood Restaurant in Chicago, and The Sherwood Inn Restaurant in New Lenox. Art was an avid outdoorsman and was particularly adept in gardening and harvesting his vineyards and exceptional barbecues. He was a very capable handyman and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Visitation 3 to 9pm on Sunday, July 28th at Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W, 151st St. Orland Park. Funeral will be Monday , July 29th at 9:00 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy& Sons Funeral Home to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Justice with a service at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Bethania Cemetery.
