Liston, Ann M. (nee Duhig)
Ann M. Liston passed away peacefully just before sunrise on February 11. She was surrounded, as in life, by her beloved family. Born on the southside of Chicago on August 9, 1953, she was the 10th of 12 children. Her family and friendships were at the center of her life and are her legacy. Her greatest gift, apart from always knowing the right thing to do and say, was bringing people together. She was a beacon of strength and inspiration throughout her life, and especially through her final illness. Her sharp wit, sense of humor, and magnanimous nature will be treasured in the hearts of her loved ones.
Ann was the most kind and generous mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Dr. Michael Liston; her devoted children Dr. Michael Jr. (Lena), Erin, Colleen Cotton (Dr. Jon), Jenny, and Patrick Liston; 9 loving grandchildren Michael III, Lily, Matthew, Luke, and Leo Liston; Molly, Rosie, Johnny, and Rafe Cotton; and her siblings Michael Duhig, Dolly Brenz, Eileen Lyons (Ed), Tom Duhig (Marilyn), Peggy Durkin (the late Robert), Jim Duhig (Cathy), John Duhig (Valerie), Patrick Duhig (Marie), Cathy Holland (Bill), and Danny Duhig (Diane). She was welcomed to heaven by her parents June, Barry and Jane, and brother Marty Duhig (Karen), and nephew Tom Duhig.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to De La Salle Blackfeet School, where she was a volunteer. 104 First St NW, Browning, MT 59417.
