My deepest sympathies to Mrs.Grasso and the family. Mr.Grasso created a learning environment unique to to the ordinary routine of school. His class was filled with laughter as we strove to perform our greatest which in turn was Best in the City. Mr. Grasso was a kind man offering guidance not insult. My memories of band are and will always be cherished of my favorite teacher. He allowed us to be kids as he sculpted musicians from some of us who'd never held an instrument in our lives. Thank you Mr. Grasso.

Dear Pat and Family, We find ourselves frustrated, by sadness and held back from our abitity to be present for you. In our tradition we understand we should celebrate Sam's new life, yet feel empty and sad for the unfillable family void. Thanks Sam for being YOU. Our prayers are with Sam and each of you. Dear Bert, Sharon and Grasso family, Though we never had th pleasure of meeting your father, it was clear to us how much you deeply cared for and admired him. Having read some of his tributes we now can understand why and appreciate the depths of your loss. You do not walk alone. Our sincerest condolences be with you.

Sitting here, looking at this flashing cursor for the last 30 min, trying to put together words in a sentence from a string of thoughts and emotions. Out of everything, one word rings clear... CLASS. You, Mr. Grasso... were the epitome of it. Out of all my teachers, you were definitely my favorite. From the way you made the music notes levitate from our sheets and float around the room, to the way you made a trombone sing like The Great Pavarotti, your love for music was embraced, appreciated and admired by us all. Our deepest of sympathies, and sincerest of condolences to the Grasso family. Thank you for allowing this wonderful man to share his time with us. With love and respect, Scott, Erica, and Cameron Pearson.
